The residents and staff from Bluegrass Care and Rehabilitation Center, Mayfair Manor, and Signature Healthcare of Georgetown enjoyed an exciting day at Keeneland. Keeneland is a national historic landmark that specializes in Thoroughbred racing.
The Spring Meet began April 3rd and will continue until April 24th. The residents and staff enjoyed picking the winners of the races and cheering each other on! The atmosphere was wonderful and the grounds were beautiful!
There were a few winners within this group, however, nobody struck it big. Everybody shared their “winning strategies”. Some chose the gray horse, some chose by the stats, some have a lucky number that they choose, and some chose a horse because they liked the name.
Our group’s biggest winner stuck with number 6. Our group had a lucky day and can’t wait to go back again!
More than 1,000 Signature staff members registered for the recent Spirituality LearnFEST, a virtual learning conference that encouraged participants to consider the impact of spirituality, if fully activated, in a long-term care environment.
And that number doesn’t even include the many who joined in groups, in offices, breakrooms and wherever there were TVs or computers at Signature centers across 10 states to view the live broadcast. The event featured sessions that tied spirituality to numerous aspects of long-term care and health care, from clinical care to legislative involvement and the impact of spirituality in the workplace.
