Bluegrass celebrated the holiday season with a wide array of festivities and special events. We had carolers galore, singing our favorite songs thoughout the facility, visits from Santa Paws, Santa Claus and even a holiday concert by Elvis! Residents decorated stockings, Santa hats, gingerbread houses and created festive live centerpieces with the help of the “Hoe and Hope Garden Club” ladies. U.K.’s “Young at Hearts” Outreach Program volunteers decorated wreaths for all 100 of our Bluegrass residents and the Homemakers Association gave residents the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping in the comfort of their home! We really enjoyed an outing to “Southern Lights” at the Horse Park, as well! Our Christmas party was a huge hit with a special visit from Santa, an abundance of gifts and, of course, fabulous food including shrimp cocktail, italian meatballs, cheese balls, petite sandwich rolls and warm spiced cider! A special thanks to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church for their more-than-generous Angel Tree gift program, giving our residents great joy and happiness during this season! We wish to thank ALL who helped make our Christmas very merry and pray for a blessed new year for each of you!
