Bluegrass was really in the “spirit” this Halloween! Events began on October 30th with a “Halloween Eve Costume Party & Dance” co-hosted by the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences, attended by residents, families, staff and volunteers. There was spooky good music, dancing, games & a costume contest for the kids, an abundance of smiles and laughs and plenty of great food. It was no trick that our UK volunteers gave us such a treat with this special event!! Halloween Day brought out the junior goblins as A Baby Center For Education trick-or-treaters made their rounds for bags full of goodies, hugs and smiles for everyone! In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed another party, with the help of Nurses Registry volunteer, Sylvester Peoples, with costume contests, a mummy wrap game, the results of the pumpkin carving contest and , of course, more great food. Despite the bad weather, staff members & families trickled in with even more trick-or-treaters that evening, as well. It was certainly a spooktacular couple of days!
